Black pineapple tomato. One of the most interesting tomatoes!! A tall plant with regular leaves. The fruit has an unusual color—a unique blend of skin hues: smoky green, yellow, and purple; when cut open, the flesh is a vibrant green with red mottling in the center. The fruit is sweet with a citrusy flavor and an excellent aroma. Fruit weight ranges from 300g to 600g and more. It is an early-bearing variety—about 75 days from planting in its permanent location. Suitable for both open ground and protected cultivation.
The variety was selected by Belgian gardener Pascal Moreau. You may also find it under the English name “Black Pineapple.” It looks most impressive when cut open: the green and red streaks of flesh create a natural marbled pattern, so it’s best served in thick slices.
