1. pomidorlandia.pl is celebrating its 13th anniversary!

Yes, we’ve been together for 13 years now. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your trust and support, for being with us through thick and thin. For the strength to keep going and the motivation. For stopping by from time to time. For your phone calls and emails. For your unwavering support during our fight for survival—where, for over two years, we’ve been battling the ruthlessness of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, which is destroying biodiversity (what a sick name!). What we do—we do it for you, for Nature, and for a better tomorrow.

Let’s celebrate! On January 30 and 31, we’re offering free shipping on seed orders via DPD Pickup!

2. DPD Pickup

Related to the above is the introduction of a new shipping method: DPD Pickup. By design, this is the cheapest delivery option available in our store. You place your order, and the package arrives at your chosen PickUp location—more details in this article.

3. Online Lectures

An invitation to the next lectures in the series “Tomato: From Seed to Seed.” This is already the fourth installment. In the next two episodes, the main topic will be the so-called “Ban on Seed Sales”—though that won’t be the only topic covered. I’ll start the next episode by wrapping up the topic of nitrogen forms available to plants, then I’ll spend a few minutes covering the most important information about our seedlings—in connection with the pre-sale starting next week. Then I’ll return to the topic of the ban on seed sales: I’ll explain what the problem is, what the current legal situation is in Poland, how this issue is handled in other countries, and what the prospects are for changes within the European Union. We’ll analyze the consequences of both exchanging and selling seeds and seedlings of traditional varieties. Just as I finish this topic (around mid-February), the seed germination season will begin, so everything is coming together perfectly into a coherent whole. Just a reminder: we’ll see you every Sunday at 8:00 p.m. As always, after the main part of the lecture, I’ll answer your questions asked in the chat. See you then!

Especially for this series, we’ve created a separate subpage in our Store where you’ll find all previously published parts of the lecture, and at the very bottom of this page, a link to the next lecture—just click on it a few minutes before 8:00 p.m. to go to YouTube.

4. Seedlings!

Seedlings! It’s hard to believe how quickly time flies. I don’t know when another year went by, and in just a few days (at midnight on February 1), we’ll once again begin pre-sales of our tomato and bell pepper seedlings. At this address, you’ll find a page that will magically transform :-) at exactly midnight into a catalog full of wonderful tomato and bell pepper varieties that you’ll be able to add to your cart in just a few days…
