For a very, very long time, I’ve been toying with the idea of putting together a series of workshops on growing tomatoes. Whenever I’ve led such workshops, I’ve always been limited by time—an hour, maybe two—and I’ve had to pack all the knowledge about growing these wonderful plants into that time. Yes, it’s possible, but… there was never quite enough time. Similarly, when responding to emails or during phone calls, we often covered very similar topics. Thinking about all this, I came to the conclusion that it’s finally time to give it a try and just take the plunge—to step in front of my most important audience—that is, you. The result of these reflections is the series “Tomatoes—From Seed to Seed,” in which I’ll describe, step by step, all aspects of growing these plants, including their anatomy, fertilization, pest control, harvesting, seed storage, and legal considerations. The lectures take place every Sunday at 8:00 p.m. and last about an hour. The first half of the session is the lecture itself, while the second half is dedicated to answering your questions and a general discussion. So far, we’ve had the opportunity to meet three times; below are the recordings of those lectures. We’ll see you again next Sunday—you’re invited!
