Iron deficiency

Iron deficiency is characterized by a pale yellow coloration of the youngest leaves, while the veins remain green. It most commonly occurs in soils with excessively high pH, where iron becomes difficult for the roots to absorb. It should not be confused with magnesium deficiency, which first appears on older leaves. Before applying iron, check the pH and the condition of the roots, because without addressing the underlying cause, the next dose may remain unavailable to the plant.
