Hormonal Balance

Hormonal balance refers to the dynamic regulation of the action and interactions of phytohormones in various tissues and during different stages of tomato development. It depends not only on their concentration, but also on the location and timing of their synthesis, transport, degradation, and tissue sensitivity. The interaction between auxins, gibberellins, cytokinins, ethylene, and abscisic acid, among others, regulates root development, flowering, fruit ripening, and stress responses. Disruptions in this regulation can lead to plant deformities and yield problems.
