Grace period

The pre-harvest interval is the period of time that must elapse between the last application of a plant protection product and the harvest of tomatoes. Its duration is specified on the current label for the specific product, crop, and method of application. This period must not be shortened, nor should the value specified for another product or crop be applied. Adhering to the pre-harvest interval reduces the risk of exceeding the permissible residue limits in the fruit.
