Field cultivation

Field cultivation involves growing tomatoes without covers, directly in the soil. The plants are exposed to variable weather, frost, and rain, whereas under cover there is a different set of risks related, among other things, to humidity and limited air exchange. Tomatoes require a sunny location, but the fruit should be shielded by the leaves from intense sunlight. Their flavor depends primarily on the variety, ripeness, and overall growing conditions. Before planting, it’s a good idea to choose a well-ventilated spot, check the soil, and set up supports right away.
