Disinfection of the surface

The purpose of soil disinfection is to reduce the number of pathogens and pests present in the soil. It can be performed using thermal, chemical, or biological methods. In home gardening, biological methods and replacing the growing medium are becoming increasingly popular as alternatives to the use of strong chemicals. When producing seedlings, it is safest to use fresh, clean growing medium and washed containers, and to perform chemical treatments only with approved products and in accordance with the label instructions.
