Crop Hygiene

Crop hygiene encompasses all measures that reduce the risk of diseases and pests. These include, among other things, disinfecting tools, removing infested plants and crop residues, using healthy seed, and keeping the tunnel and its surroundings clean. In many cases, good crop hygiene is more effective than treating established diseases later on.
