Risk of disease
The risk of disease depends on the simultaneous presence of a pathogen, a susceptible plant, and favorable environmental conditions. High humidity, poor air circulation, overcrowding of plants, and cultural practices significantly increase the likelihood of infection. Proper preventive measures can reduce the risk even before the first symptoms appear. First, it is advisable to minimize the factors that the gardener can control: wetting the leaves, overcrowding, plant debris left on the ground, and working on wet plants.
