Conductive fabric

Conductive tissues are responsible for transporting water, nutrients, and assimilates between the roots, leaves, and fruits. They consist of wood (xylem) and bast (phloem). Damage to these tissues caused by diseases such as fusarium wilt or verticillium wilt leads to plant wilting despite adequate soil moisture.
