Apical necrosis
Also known as: vertex atrophy
Apical necrosis refers to the death of the youngest parts of the plant, primarily the growing tip or shoot tips. It can be caused by nutrient deficiencies, mechanical damage, infections, or severe environmental stress. The cause must be determined before treatment begins.
