Mongolian Dwarf is a short, spreading tomato variety for people who want to harvest classic red tomatoes from low-growing plants. It usually reaches about 15–40 cm in height, but its stems spread out to the sides—so it’s a good idea to provide a wider pot or a suitable spot in the garden bed.
This variety is determinate and early-maturing. According to collector descriptions, the fruits usually weigh about 70–200 g, are round or slightly flattened, and have a mild flavor. They are suitable for eating fresh and for home cooking. It’s a good idea to apply mulch under the spreading vines so that the tomatoes don’t lie directly on the ground.
