Manitoba, and released in 1956. The fruits are round, slightly flattened, uniform in size within the plant, have an intense red color, and weigh no more than 90 grams. This variety is perfect for small gardens where space is at a premium—the bush is low and spreading; be sure to leave room for its lateral shoots.
It was developed in a region where a short growing season necessitates an early harvest. The Canadian publication Research for Farmers from the winter of 1958 highlighted Manitoba as a significant achievement in the development of tomatoes that ripen before the autumn cool-down.
