There is only one queen, and her name is... Lima! The Holy Grail of processing tomatoes. It’s rock-hard, even when fully ripe. The intensely red fruits are shaped like large plums, with a very high dry matter content and firm walls; they are not very large—weighing about 100–150 grams. They tolerate transport very well and have a long shelf life. The plant is not very large and is intended to be grown without supports in open-field cultivation. The shoots do not form a growing tip after the fifth cluster. It is rather difficult to train the plant to a single shoot with support, as it produces a large number of lateral shoots. The plant is high-yielding. The fruit ripens approximately 78–80 days after planting.
