A very early Russian variety associated with Bill McDorman’s 1989 expedition to Siberia to collect seeds. Sasha Starov gave him the seeds, which later became part of the Seed Savers Exchange collection. It produces a very bountiful harvest as early as about 55 days after transplanting. The fruits are small and withstand transport well. They generally do not exceed 80–100 grams. The plant is determinate, ideal for growing in the ground on black agrotextile or straw.
