A companion variety to the David Pendergrass family of Tennessee since the 1920s. Tall and strongly built plants with potato-like leaves yield abundantly. The pink and fleshy fruits are very large - not infrequently reaching even more than a kilogram in weight, although unfortunately they need about 90 days from planting in the ground to reach maturity. Tidwell German is one of the tastiest varieties introduced to our catalog for 2014. The fleshy, juicy fruits captivate with their rich aroma and downright unearthly texture. Highly recommended!
