This captivating bell pepper is native to the Netherlands and is probably the most beautiful of the purple peppers. The fruits reach dimensions up to about 10 x 10 cm. The peppers are initially purple in color and retain this color for a long time, when they ripen they start to turn orange at first, to turn to carmine red at the last stage. A noteworthy feature of the plants is their resistance to tobacco mosaic virus. An early variety, the fruits ripen about 74 days after planting.
