The first official information about this variety comes from Louisiana in 1848. The very spicy and aromatic little peppers became the main ingredient of the very famous Tabasco Pepper Sauce. Excellent for sauces, or as a condiment or additive to preserves to give them a spicy flavor. Fruits are small, 30,000 to 50,000 SHU, intense red, and ripen about 85 days after planting.
