A captivating cherry tomato. The fruits are small, growing in clusters of 10 to 16, with an intense red color and distinct black-purple hues. The more sunlight the fruit receives, the darker its skin will become. When unripe, they are an exceptionally beautiful lilac color, which changes to an intense red with distinct black-purple hues as they ripen. Excellent in flavor, full of tomato notes, they’re perfect as a snack, as a garnish for platters, or for preserves. The fruits reach maturity about 75 days after transplanting. The plant is tall and requires staking or support.
This variety was bred by Tom Wagner. When harvesting, it’s important to look for the reddening part of the fruit, not just the dark shoulders: the strong pigment appears under the influence of light even before the fruit is fully ripe.
