Its high dry matter content makes it an excellent variety for purees and thick sauces, though of course it tastes just as good on sandwiches. The variety originated in Italy and was brought to the United States by an immigrant. Not very large red fruits of elongated shape with a characteristic spout at the end, are more or less uniform in size - they reach a weight of about 150 grams. The variety is very fruitful, perfectly fruiting in our climatic conditions. Fruits reach maturity about 75 days after planting.
