This variety, also known as “Bull’s Balls,” is cultivated in France. According to a story recounted by Alsagarden, its seeds are said to have arrived there from Spain with refugees in the late 1930s. This is a family legend about the seeds’ journey that has accompanied this variety to this day. The fruits are large, weighing up to one kilogram, and a deep red color. They have a complex, very tomato-like flavor. The skin is delicate and blemish-free. The fruits are irregular in shape. The fruits reach maturity approximately 82 days after transplanting. The plant is tall and requires staking or tying up.
