An open-pollinated variety originating from Ukraine. The round, red fruits weigh between 250 and 400 grams. They have a well-balanced flavor—not too sweet, not too sour, just right. Excellent for all uses. The fruit reaches maturity about 67 days after transplanting. The plant grows tall and requires staking or tying up.
The variety was bred by Ruslan Dukhov from Ukraine, who named it in honor of his father, Nikolai. In collections, it can also be found under the name Nikolai Dukhov; “Nicholas Doochov” is the English spelling of this name.
