A very productive variety. The fruits are small, with an intense golden-yellow color, and do not exceed 7 cm in diameter. Thanks to its hardiness, it is ideal not only for home gardens but also for commercial production. The fruit reaches maturity about 80 days after transplanting. The plant is tall and requires staking or tying up.
Golden Sunburst was listed in the 1994 Seed Savers Exchange yearbook by Donald C. Kellums of Illinois. He had previously purchased the seeds from Totally Tomatoes. This is evidence of its presence in the historical seed circulation, not the date the variety was first grown.
