An old variety introduced to the Gleckler Seed Company catalog in 1958. Merlin W. Gleckler helped make it available to gardeners; the tomato itself had previously been preserved as a family heirloom. This vigorous plant with regular leaves produces a very abundant crop. The fruits are large, pink, and flattened, weighing up to one and a half kilograms. They are very sweet with a captivating flavor and aroma. The fruits reach maturity about 80 days after transplanting. The plant is tall and requires staking or tying up.
