A variety that has been grown for years, submitted to the Seed Savers Exchange in 1996 by Carolyn Male of Latham, NY. Carolyn had previously received the seeds from George Korbel of West Virginia. The fruits are large, often weighing more than half a kilogram, with a delicate skin and very fleshy flesh. The flesh is pinkish-red. The fruit reaches maturity about 80 days after transplanting. The plant grows tall and requires staking or tying up.
