A very old variety from the United States, where in Virginia in 1907 it won the main prize for size and taste. Probably derived from the Ponderosa variety around 1889. Strong plants are very fertile. The dark pink-purple fruits are large, their weight ranges from half a kilogram to a kilogram. The fruits reach maturity about 82 days after planting. High-growing plant, requires staking or tying.
