The perfectly round, red fruits are quite small, not exceeding 5 cm in diameter. The fruit’s modest size is compensated for by the plant’s high yield and the uniformity of the fruit within each cluster. The plant is tall and requires staking or tying up. The fruit reaches maturity approximately 75 days after planting.
Ararat Hellfrucht is documented in the Seed Ambassadors list prepared for the Seed Savers Exchange in 2008. The authors noted seeds received from Gerhard Bohl of Germany and a bountiful harvest of red, juicy fruits.
