A variety selected from a chance cross between Cherokee Purple and Prudens Purple in Joe Fisher’s garden in Maine, USA. It appeared in the Seed Savers Yearbook in 1999. Its name refers to the fictional Vorlon race from the TV series “Babylon 5.” A fantastic variety of black beefsteak tomato. One of the tastiest varieties we’ve harvested so far—definitely worth trying! The dark, flavorful flesh is tender and almost seedless. The fruits reach maturity about 75 days after transplanting. The skin is delicate.
