A variety from Joe Bratka’s collection, known for its large, pink-purple fruits. The fruits weigh an average of 300–500 grams, are an intense dark purple, beefbeefsteak-type, and virtually seedless. The plant is vigorous and tall, requiring staking. A late-season variety that begins bearing fruit approximately 90 days after planting. We value its disease resistance in our cultivation.
Marizol Purple was crossed with Brandywine by Joe Bratka. This work resulted in “Brandywine Purple”—an interesting option for comparing the flavor and fleshiness of the fruit.
