A high-yielding tomato variety with dark fruit, also known in collections as “Chinese Purple.” It produces an excellent crop throughout the season. The fruits are uniform and very large, weighing up to over 1 kg! The delicious flesh is protected by a delicate skin. An excellent tomato for all uses. According to TOMATOBase, the seeds were sent to the Seed Savers Exchange in 2007 through Al Anderson and Andrei Baranovsky of Minsk. Previously, the variety was known in Russia as Kitaiskiy Rozovyi; the name refers to its presumed Chinese origin. The fruits reach maturity about 80 days after transplanting.
