A tall-growing, heart-shaped black tomato variety from the Bull's Heart group. The mahogany-red-brown fruits, with thin skin and fleshy pulp, have a rich, wonderful flavor and aroma. The fruit weighs between 350 and 500 g. An excellent tomato for sandwiches and colorful salads. The plant can have a relatively compact growth habit but is indeterminate: it continues to grow and requires support. Its delicate, hanging leaves are characteristic.
The variety was selected by Brad Gates of Wild Boar Farms in California. TomatoFest describes discovering it among “Black Krim” plants. It has retained its dark color and rich flavor, and is distinguished by the heart-shaped fruit.
