This variety was stabilized by Tim Mountz of Happy Cat Farm in Pennsylvania. He crossed Black Krim and Zapotec to produce dark fruits with distinctive deep ribs. The variety was featured in the Seed Savers Yearbook in 2008. The plants have regular leaves. The fruits ripen in about 75 days. The average fruit weight is 250–300 grams. In terms of flavor, it rivals the best black tomatoes. Excellent for dark tomato sauces and salads.
