A sensational variety of black tomato developed by Larry Pierce. It produces a bountiful harvest about 85 days after transplanting. The fruits are meaty and weigh over half a kilogram. They surprise with a sweet-and-sour flavor and an intense tomato aroma.
Larry Pierce of Missouri developed it by crossing “Happy’s Happy” and “Black Krim.” This is an example of modern breeding work with heirloom varieties: this dark beefsteak tomato with a rich flavor was created through the deliberate combination and selection of traits.
