A wonderful tomato variety. This tall plant produces large, slightly flattened red fruits with a sensational flavor and intense aroma. The fruits are very fleshy and grow to a weight of 400–900 g. It bears fruit on every cluster until the first frost, yielding a high total harvest per plant. Delicious, perfectly balanced sweet-and-sour flavor. This variety is suitable for both open ground and protected cultivation, though it performs better under cover (higher total yield, larger fruit, thinner skin, etc.).
This variety was submitted to the 1994 Seed Savers Exchange catalog by Robert W. Richardson of Phelps, New York. This is one of the traces of its journey among gardeners who preserve seeds of large, flavorful tomatoes.
