Cuore Antico di Acqui Terme is an old Italian heirloom variety, whose name means “ancient heart of Acqui Terme.” Originating from the Piedmont region, it has been valued for generations in local gardens for its unique appearance and flavor. The plant is tall (indeterminate), but with a delicate, slender stem, which is why it requires strong staking and careful training.
