Lux
Also known as: lukslx
Lux (lx) measures the intensity of light falling on a given surface. It is easy to measure, but it does not reflect the actual amount of light used by plants for photosynthesis. In modern horticulture, it is increasingly being replaced by measurements of PPFD and DLI. Measuring lux can be useful for comparing the settings of the same lamp, but it is better to use PPFD and DLI when selecting a lamp for plants.
