Infestation (disease incidence)

Infestation refers to damage to a plant caused by a disease or pest. The extent of the infestation can range from individual leaves to entire plants or an entire plantation. Early detection of the first symptoms significantly increases the effectiveness of control measures. Upon noticing changes, mark or isolate the suspected plant, assess the extent of the symptoms, and identify the causative agent before selecting a control method.
