Fertigation

Fertigation is a method of fertilization that involves applying nutrients along with water during irrigation. This ensures that plants receive small doses of fertilizer with nearly every watering, which increases the efficiency of nutrient uptake. This method allows for very precise control of fertilization and is standard practice in professional greenhouse tomato cultivation. However, it requires monitoring the pH and electrical conductivity (EC) of the nutrient solution. Use a fertilizer designed to dissolve in water and determine its concentration based on the label and measurements, not “by eye.”
