Gargamella Picasso Striped It catches the eye with its slightly elongated fruits featuring red-and-orange stripes and dark anthocyanin-based discoloration, which is particularly intense in areas exposed to the sun. The fruits typically weigh 50–100 g; they are juicy and combine sweetness with a delicate tartness. They are perfect in salads and as a colorful snack, and their unique coloring makes for a beautiful plate decoration.

The plant is self-terminating, has regular leaves, and its shoots reach about 100–120 cm in length. It can be grown without supports, allowing the stems to spread freely; however, staking facilitates better light exposure for the fruit and promotes a more intense indigo color. It also helps keep the fruit off the ground. The fruit ripens about 75–80 days after being planted in its permanent location. Clusters bearing a particularly heavy load should be provided with additional support.
