St. Teresa seeds were given to Gary Ibsen by Martin Rajtar from Slovakia. According to family tradition, the variety was grown successively by his grandmother, his mother, and himself, and the tradition dates back over a hundred years. The fruits are very large, pink, and can weigh up to one kilogram; they withstand transport well. Thanks to the plant’s high yield and consistent harvests, it is one of the most interesting commercial varieties. The first fruits ripen about 75 days after transplanting. The plant is tall and requires staking.
