A variety developed by Oregon State University. The plant is very productive; the fruits are large, perfectly round, and resistant to damage, making them ideal for market sale. The fruit reaches maturity approximately 80 days after transplanting. It is a determinate plant, perfectly suited for field cultivation.
Oregon Spring is part of Jim Baggett’s breeding program at Oregon State University, designed for fruiting during the cooler early part of the season. It can set fruit parthenocarpically, that is, without fertilization; for this reason, the first tomatoes in particular are often seedless.
