German Head is an old German medium-late tomato variety with a distinctive flavor that is hard to put into words. It fruits quite abundantly in the neighborhood of 80 days from planting, and the nicely formed fruits have a slightly thicker skin than similar American varieties. The weight of a single fruit ranges from 40 dag to a kilogram, and the interior is uniformly dark pink. It is worth noting that the fruits are very resistant to cracking.
