Truly black cherry tomatoes. The fruits weigh about 15โ20 grams. The skin of the fruit turns almost black where it is exposed to sunlight. The bottom part turns a deep red as the fruit ripens. The variety is not fully stabilized, which means there may be some variations from the description. The fruits reach maturity about 67 days after transplanting. The plant grows tall and requires staking or tying up.
It is a creation by Tom Wagner, made available for sale by New World Seeds & Tubers in 2012. A dark skin alone does not indicate ripeness: when harvesting, look for the reddening, less sun-exposed part of the fruit and its slight softening.
