A delicious variety with an excellent flavor profile. The fruits are very large—weighing up to a kilogram—and have an intense red color; they are fairly uniform in size within the cluster. Beefsteak-type fruits are characterized by excellent flavor and aroma. This is a high-yielding variety, so you don’t have to worry about running out of these delicious tomatoes. The fruits reach maturity after about 80 days.
Magnum was preserved and popularized by American collector Chuck Wyatt. He selected for large, flavorful fruits; the variety is also known as “Magnum Beefsteak”. The tall plants require sturdy support to safely hold the heavy clusters.
