The delicious and beautiful Berkeley Tie-Dye tomatoes pair perfectly with Berkeley Tie-Dye Pink fruit. A favorite among chefs, this variety combines a phenomenal appearance with a delicious flavor. The fruits weigh between 240 and 480 grams and ripen about 80 days after planting. When cut open, the dominant green color is interspersed with red and yellow streaks of flesh. The flavor is dominated by a tart note.
Berkeley Tie-Dye originates from a selection by Brad Gates in California. The name refers to the colorful patterns achieved through the tie-dye technique—a similar interplay of colors can be seen both on the skin and when the fruit is cut open.
