Hippie Zebra is a striking tomato variety that has gained recognition for its unusual coloration and excellent flavor. The fruits of this variety are beefsteak-type, medium-sized, and weigh between 150 and 500 grams. Characteristic irregular stripes in shades of green, red, yellow, and sometimes brown give the fruits a unique appearance. The skin is thin yet sturdy, and the flesh is equally striking, featuring a multicolored pattern of pink, green, and red, which adds to its appeal.

The fruit has a sweet, wine-like flavor with a slight tartness, making this variety perfect for salads and for eating raw. The plants are very productive and tall-growing (indeterminate type); they require staking, and the first fruits ripen about 80–85 days after transplanting in the ground.

The striking fruits are ideal for pairing with single-colored tomatoes on summer platters.
