White Oxheart is a creamy tomato with heart-shaped fruits, recommended for lovers of delicate flavors. The large, slightly yellowish fruits have plenty of flesh and relatively few seeds. In our variety, they weigh 250–450 g. Their mild sweetness and subtle fruity notes make them worth trying first on their own.
The meaty slices sit well on bread, and ripe fruits can be used to make a light sauce that looks great with pasta and fresh herbs. The creamy color is also present on the inside—this does not mean the tomato is unripe.
This variety grows tall and ripens later, so it benefits from a warm location. It’s a good idea to stake the plants early, before the fruit weighs them down. For a similar light color, check out ‘White Wonder,’ which produces flatter, beefsteak-style fruits.
