Copia is a large, striped tomato that shows off its colors even when cut open. Red streaks run across its golden-yellow or orange skin, and its juicy interior combines shades of yellow and pinkish-red. The fruits in our description weigh 400–500 g and are perfect for making eye-catching slices for salads.
The variety was selected by Jeff Dawson from a cross between ‘Green Zebra’ and ‘Marvel Stripe’. Its name commemorates COPIA, an American center dedicated to food, wine, and art. The multicolored fruit aptly reflects this connection between the garden and the pleasures of cooking and appreciating food.
The plant is tall and requires support; it’s best to give it a warm location and plenty of time to ripen.
