Dark clouds looming over the plots?

It might seem that the crusade against farmers who save their own seeds is an isolated incident, but when we combine this with the news coming from the Polish Allotment Gardeners’ Association, it increasingly looks like a very well-planned campaign. The goal: to deprive people of the ability to produce their own food and/or make them dependent on the production of large multinational corporations, as well as importers and distributors associated with these sectors.

Quoting information from the PZD:

Will 500,000 allotment plots be at risk of closure?
The Ministry of Development and Technology has drafted a regulation. It specifies the rules for drawing up general municipal plans, with which zoning plans must comply. The proposed regulations mean that in two years, most municipal areas may be subject to a ban on including Family Garden Allotments (ROD) in local zoning plans. The draft affects as many as 60% of RODs—approximately 520,000 plots. In a worst-case scenario, their existence will conflict with local zoning plans—which will open the door to the liquidation of the gardens for commercial purposes. The Polish Allotment Garden Association (PZD) has launched a campaign to amend the draft, but so far, the allotment gardeners’ demands have been ignored.
